Agenda
Over at The Daily Kos, there's a breakdown of Senator Harry Reid's proposals for legislation to be introduced directly to the floor of the Senate as a "fight-back" should the Republican majority invoke the "nuclear option" to prevent filibusters on judicial nominees. Aside from the great love Americans have for the tradition of the filibuster, largely arising from Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, no doubt, I'd like to see these bills introduced anyway. From the taglines, there doesn't appear to be an unworthy bit of legislation in the bunch. Why wait? Let's put it to a vote. Go on, Harry, do it.
