The System Works
It'd probably be better not to become too sanguine over the Senate's action to block renewal of the evil USA Patriot Act, as it's seems largely a reaction to the revelation of Bush's personal illegal authorization of the NSA's spying on citizens domestically, but it's not just hard not to cheer, it'd be ungracious. Good for you, Senate, especially you four Republicans who recognize what's right (although what's gotten into those two Democrats who failed in their duty, I don't know). Bush's claims to the contrary notwithstanding, we need to get our government back on track, and this is an excellent first step.
