Verdict
I agree with Malcolm Fraser: David Hicks is guilty not because he’s guilty, but because he must be guilty. (Note, for example, the charge of spying, insofar as it largely amounts to having collected information on the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan – which was closed at the time.)

[Ray] Perhaps when David Hicks' lawyers start suing people for damages in the civil courts they can point to that bit of fabrication.
