Politics, as usual
I’m sure the canteen in Canberra is as much a fine-dining experience as anywhere else, just as much as I’m sure I’d take my wife to lunch somewhere outside the office, but in a period when governmental concerns over increasing levels of obesity are making headlines week-by-week, who orders the Stroganoff, anyway, let alones worries that the portions are too small. (Reminds of me of that joke about Army food/old-age home meals/etc.: The food’s so bad here, complains one. And the portions are so small, responds the other.) Does it come with a salad? A bread roll? Maybe you’d like a wafer-thin mint after your meal?
