Is It Drafty in Here?
I suppose that since open criticism of Bush II’s Imperium is cause for disciplinary action (but probably not discharge) in the military, plans to increase the size of the standing armed forces shouldn’t be unexpected. I am admittedly somewhat torn in my sympathies for those who are presently in the National Guard (some I know joined specifically because they needed the extra paycheck, but didn’t they have to know it could come to this?), but I am grinding my teeth to nubs over the prospect of Bush’s oil greed getting the U.S. in so deep that we have to return to the draft. I may not be the only one thinking this way.
