Everybody knows Inspector Rex, right? (O.k., no; so: he’s a crime-fighting dog working with the police and smarter than all the humans in the show put together, especially the guy with the bad haircut.) Well, meet Commissioner Kitty. Really, Lawrence Block could have written this story, assuming he turned to a different class of detective story and the cat had a drinking problem.
