Hollywood or Bust
M.'s had her script accepted into the top 100 in Project Greenlight, an outcome I fully expected, of course, but also an achievement worth no little pride. Although nearly 2,000 scripts were submitted, only 720 met the basic criteria, and after a gruelling peer review process, they've been whittled down. Next, the top 50, then 20, then 10, then "Action." At this point the competition is truly fearsome, I expect, although none of the scripts we read made it through, so it's hard to judge precisely. If the titles are any indication, I think M. should anticipate moving ahead. (I mean, "Physics & Chips"? "Where Boys Fear to Tread"? Really. I hope those're just working titles.) Anyway, congratulations; next stop: Oscar.
