Back in the day, when Outside Counsel and The Knitter were living in Brooklyn, Smith Street wasn’t much of a place one wanted to be after dark, neither was it noted for the culinary arts, despite the corner grocery with the fresh smoked mozzarella. For the past few years, this area has been coming up, by all food critic accounts, and suddenly, it’s got the best restaurant in town. Statistically, anyway, and we all know about statistics.
