July Surprise
I thought I'd be surprised, and I am: Kerry's selected Edwards as his VP. Well, that's fine; I've liked Edwards since I first read about him in the New Yorker back in '01 or '02, even as a candidate in the Primaries. I think it's a strong ticket, and I look forward to the debates with some relish.
