Your Antiterrorism Dollars at Work
Make that “on the way to” work. The NYC Transit division of the MTA wants to ban photography and videotaping on the subways and busses so that terrorists can’t conduct surveillance in planning their next attacks. (More surprising is the news that a ban previously existed 10 years ago.) I doubt the rule will go into effect unchallenged, although the other proposed rules – banning the use of end doors to move between cars on the subway, no feet up on the seats, no standing on skateboards - I expect will be enacted, keeping everyone safer, or anyway letting more people get a seat. Is this where Rummy got his latest bright idea?
