I’d hoped for a better response from my candidate on the issue, but Kerry did support the initiation of the Iraq war, so it shouldn’t surprise me he want’s Latham to keep the 250 Australian troops there past Christmas. (Tim Dunlop points to the withdrawal of the Netherlands’ 1400 troops, but maybe the additional 90 days is enough to make a difference for the Democratic candidate.)
